Chennai, 19, Nov: Cyclone Nilam has created tremendous damage and destruction in the state of Tamil Nadu. Even after three days of heavy rain most of the places in Tamil Nadu has not yet recovered from the impact of Nilam.  Ordinary life of people is yet in a standstill in most parts of the state.

Among the important places of Tamil Nadu, Chennai incurred huge damage due to cyclone. Most of the parts in Chennai are inundated in water which is still continuing.

Marina beach, World’s second longest beach which witnessed a huge water logging in the beach, resulted in the absence of beach area. Cyclone Nilam has flooded the Marina beach with the intrusion of sea into the sandy area of the beach.  On the day of heavy rain not even a single sand was visible. That situation has changed but even then many parts of beach is still under water. Small shops in the beach was also submerged in the water. The number of visitors in the beach reduced hugely because of the rain. Even though we can see some people and children playing in the water logging as if it’s the part of sea.
