Chennai floats due to rain
The continues rain has caused major damage in lot of area in and around chennai city. People suffer because of water inside and outside the house in lot of areas and also due to lack of drinking water and other for other purposes and also due to lack of power supply.
The water has entered the houses causing damage to people and property. Nearly 77 people has lost their lives due to this heavy rainfall.
R.K.Nagar and Ennor highway is also one of the affected area where the water caused a serious damage to people and their houses. Being near to the costal area has caused people risking their life and lot of people near to the cost has been vacated due to the threat of the cyclone formed. It's said that government has taken necessary steps to remove water and provide daily needs to the people affected by the cyclone. But being the area of under the ruling party, there is no action has been taken to remove the stagnate water or to provide people's needs. Only after the visit by the CM the government authorities has taken steps to help people recover and civic workers have been pumping out the water from various localities. Around 250 people are forced to move out of their homes due to the flood. In around areas like Tondiarpet, elayamudali street are all battered by rain during these four days of rain. The water has entered almost all ground floor houses and huts and people residing had to walk through neck deep water to enter their homes.
