Anyone passing by the hectic Thiruvanmiyur junction would have known the traffic chaos and pedestrian crossing safe during the peak hours.
Recently, The Chennai Corporation has come up with a simple intervention to build a pedestrian platform that would link from Thiruvanmiyur Junction road to Bus terminus and also Indira Nagar, LB road, Taramani, Rajiv Gandhi Salai meet and other major arterial road, said a corporation worker, who armed with the basic utility cables and road driller machine.
To avoid trouble many walk/cross on the main road and take the commuting passage that often ended in various disturbance cases, so, therefore, the pedestrian platform would alleviate traffic congestion and benefit regular commuters in the near future. The project work is still underway and yet to see the light of the day.
