first intro post

This is the new blog for our class. Hopefully, we will start posting messages/stories in this blog. I want students to post news stories along with photos/Videos in this blog. This could be be first step in understanding Web Journalism 2.0.

Basically web 2.0 it is about good content and audience interaction. Good stories presented with technology to reach news consumers. Good Journalism skills coupled with technological understanding is the key to success.  Hence there is need to slowly learn the nitty gritty of Internet and its specific demands.

Every Monday afternoon, go for your field work with a simple aim of collecting simple, heart warming stories about people in Chennai.

Post it as a blog @ http://mumjwebjournalismpractical2015.blogspot.in/later post the link of the blog in this FB group.

Next step shorten the long FB url to a shorter one using bitly and post it in your twitter account with a small cryptic statement and then post the twitter link in our whatsapp group.

For first two weeks photos compulsory. Audio & Video are not mandatory. After two weeks they will become compulsory. Minimum word limit 300. Tamil or English language can be used.
