Chennai schools reopened after the deluge

                   After a month of ceaseless rains and floods that led to closure of schools and colleges in many parts of the city reopened on Monday. As in this case, Avvai school of Adyar, which served as a relief camp for surroundings who were displaced by the floods now limps back to normality but the concerns are lot as many students clothes, books and main necessity washed away during the floods; and in the critical, will they provide better education in a limit period of time, and examination is getting closure for 10th and 12th. 

"As normal life was restored, the first day of Avvai school received 95% attendance of students and TN education dept have provided the textbooks for those affected students" Sivaranjani.N, Headmistress of Avvai School of Adyar.

 "As the schools are getting over by 4 p.m regularly so we have planned to conduct extra two hours classes for 10th, 12th students to enable them to take up the examination with adequate preparation," she said

"Schools exams were postponed and we yet to get the official call from the govt to resume the exams and the school education dept have been on the plan to sending mobile medical vans and mobile counselling vans her," she added.
