Heavy rain once again disrupted normal life in Chennai on Tuesday
In many areas, motorists and pedestrians were seen carefully negotiating potholes on the roads, many of which had been damaged due to the monsoon fury.
Several areas in the city have been waterlogged due to the showers affecting vehicular traffic, train movement and also delaying some flights.
Suburban train services have been affected due to waterlogging on the tracks at several places.
Most of the services were running late while a few trains could be operated only up to Pallavaram due to waterlogging on the tracks between Pallavaram and Tambaram stations, said a railway official.

Several areas were hit by power outages and officials said they were experiencing difficulties in carrying out repairs because of the incessant downpour.
